I had the good luck to be able to photograph some animals this trip. Not very good as far as animal portraits go, but just (presented) for fun.

c1. One needs to be prepaared for ANYTHING wandering onto the road!
c2. Deer at the edge of Redwoods park, northern California.
c3.
c4. Chipmunks usually do not hold still long enough to be photographed.
c5. Trumpeter Swan (and duck), Yellowstone. They are fairly rare in most of the country (endangered). They spend summer in the Arctic and winter in U.S. We have several flocks that Winter in the Skagit River delta about 60 miles north of here. I keep trying to Photograph them, but they are VERY shy, and usually feed in the center of a 1 mile x 1 mile field, away from road. Farmers don't like photographers trespassing. They are wonderfull to watch when flying. About a 4 foot wingspan.
c6. Curious Elk
c7. Pronghorn Antelope, near Yellowstone.
c8.
c9.
c10. This is where an auto-focus camera is necessary. These guys ran past me at ~35 mph.
c11. Just some Buffalo.
c12. Bighorn Sheep, north-east Yellowstone. Just luck that they were crossing the road as I drove by. Followed them with my camera as they worked their way down to the river.
c13.
c14. Cut-throat Trout in the Yellowstone river.
